Royal Proclamation
By order of the Governor, the island of Portcarron will be visited by the Royal Marines and Revenue Collectors to obtain their dues in taxes to the crown. Any failure to pay will result in the seizure of property. The inhabitants will be expected to present themselves in the Portcarron marketplace on 21st August for inspection.
It is also of note to the Governor, that this island is reputedly home to a nest of brigands and pirates. Any information leading to the capture of these criminals will be rewarded from the Governor’s coffers.

Pirate Call to Arms
Captains, brothers and sisters under colours,
I hope this message finds you in good spirits and with hulls full of booty.
It is time for our clans to gather at our fort in Portcarron. As is tradition, it is a time to honour our debt, settle scores, test our skill and gain glory for yourselves, your crew and your clan. The island has its own challenges but it seems we’ve also got Redcoats trying to take what’s ours. Are we going to stand for that?
No, we’re not.
The good Governor and their sea dogs plan to be on our shores on 21st August. I say we meet them with cannon fire. We have a shared legacy built into the very bones of the fort shared by all our crews between here and Fiddler’s Green. No authority will take our home from us.
---------
Will you answer the call and set sail for Portcarron with your crew? Will you gain notoriety as the most feared pirate in the Caribbean or sell out your fellows to the Red Coats? Will you face the islands challenges and history?
If you’re ready for the adventure, make for Portcarron on 20th-22nd August

RULES
Each character has 3 global hit points. All hit points are recovered after fifteen minutes away from combat with role play from a barber surgeon. In combat, a barber surgeon must draw a bead from a bag to determine results. A white bead means the patient is fine, a red bead means they have some complications that will take two minutes of treatment role play and may result in a disfigurement. A black bead indicates the character will die (role play can allow for up to half an hour till death so long as not actively participating in combat).
Bead ratio of 3 White, 2 Red and 1 Black
Flintlocks and similar style pistols cannot be reloaded during an active combat, between encounters is fine. Point at your target and do your best to catch their attention or identify them with a short description before calling “Bang”. All firearms do one point of damage as well as knocking the target down. If you are shot, do your best to roleplay being knocked over, bum to floor preferable but we understand not everyone is able to do this.
All melee weapons do one point of damage on a hit.
Each character gets one perk on creation from the list.
Perks:
Tough: Extra Hit Point
Barber Surgeon: Access to Healing Mechanics
Hard to Kill: Ignore First Black Bead of a Day
